In the mid 2000s, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sufjan Stevens said that he was going to make an album for all 50 US states, but he gave up after 2 albums. It was a whole big thing. In the spring of 2020, while under quarantine from COVID-19, I produced over 50 albums worth of music made by hundreds of people from the internet to finish Sufjan Stevens’ 50 States Project once and for all.
